Salvation by JoeBenski

Why blame the downturn of the Philippine economy in 2008 to the global slowdown of major world markets?

Can we not be self relient na tayu na lamang ang makakabuhay ng ating mga nagugutom na tiyan?

Do we live in a inter-dependent world that whatever happen to a white-man suffering is the same as to the brown-man?

Questions i ask myself habang umiinum ng aking johnie walker....

We can survive if we plant fruit and vegetables in our garden, a simple suggestion to a worldwide need. If we survive, we will attain salvation.

LUCK by Love guru "ZJ"

"Sometimes you need a hell lot of luck to succeed" - anonymous

That's really from me, not from someone i dont know.

We all like to gamble (lucky 9,sangla at taching) but do we know what would be the result?
I bet you too don't know either 'coz it's the mystery, it's the excitement of pushing boundaries to the edge.

I'd say we pursue everything, gamble everything...One way or another we will win 'coz you know something deep with in there is one star that means "lucky", and as you and i push our luck, perhaps we can succeed, and i suppose we will.

You cannot win without gambling on it, and you cannot gamble without pushing your luck altogether.

Sister Stella L. was lucky. She always say: "I love you Lucky"

Travelling in Sh. Zayed road

I always travel in this road; not by my insistence but by the driver's choice.

I always think about something whenever i'm beginning the see the road....

I think about my past, think about my present,

think about my sorrow, my pain

think about my laughter and my jokes

think about sick people, think about not so sick people

think about zarita, think about her all the time

i think about you

this road leads to many hours of thinking........

Were's your road???

Y-M-C-A

They all have one thing in common: they dance to this tune.
No matter what jobs you may have, whether it may be the indian guy who prays for rain for his tribe, may as it may the policeman who patrols the street or the carpenter who makes the house, we are all the same
We live in an imperfect world and all material things that goes on with it passes to us one way or another. It might take some of us faster or a little longer to achieve it but certainly the gods would give in and we will enjoy our fruits at the end of the day.

So i'd say.... It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A. It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.

Racism and pride

it goes hand and hand...

Racism i guess can only exist because we have so much pride in ourselves. We are accustomed to living a life full of idiosyncrasies that we tend to look into ourselves with high regard thereby neglecting people around us. Racism kait saang kingdom meron din mapa animal or plant, mas grabe nga dun...

my subtle question - Can we not co-exist? Is it hard for everyone to co-minggle?

My skin is brown, my heart is red, my mind is green. We are all part of the rainbow, only thing is not all colors are up there....

"what's your flavor, tell me what's your flavor...ping pong playa...."

tyobibs by Love guru "ZJ"

I never thought something would come our way
Our luck was push too far
The last coin we've ever thrown,
We couldn't believe we've still won.
We knew ends would meet
But here you are in our midst
So solemly swear to be at our side,
Comforted by the smile snickering inside.

Part-time by JoeBenski

Since they are saying that economy has come into a standstill, i'd say we have to resort into something. and that something is part-time job, pero mairap humanap ng part-time kase as we all know, it's part-time.
yan eh pang summer na part-time job. next time un pang winter season...

Eggs...

Interview portion with three prominent members of the blog inner circle
Moderator: good morning guys...
JJJ: good mornings!!!
Moderator: say something about anything today
JoeBenski say: Dollar-peso exchange rate is maddening..c'mon?! beginning of the week the peso pegged against the dollar at 45.66, then the next day it slide to 45.25...well that's whopping 0.41 cents loss on your pocket...ganito yan eh, pag meron kang sampung libong dolyar at makaligtaan mo itong papalitan kahapon eh talo ka na kaagad ng 4,100 pesos...ngayon iisipin mo anu pwide ibili ng naluging peso mo, eto mga halimbawa:
isang litro ng fundador - 1,200 pesos
isang kilong manok na adobo - 125
rekado sa adobo - 100
isang kilong bigas - 60
gasolina pauwi - 215
Total: 4,100
see... 'teng nasayang na naman ang happy hour mo....

Joebensyo say: got my copy (hiram lang pala) of pugad baboy 18..still reading it, will give you review after reading it for ten times....

Love guru "ZJ": .....zzzzzzz(sleeping....)

does it matter

"The problem of being alone is you instantly remember the person that matters to you...
i'm alone right now, and does it matter to you that i remember you?"

This resonates to me for a very simple reason: "does it matter"....what is fascinating about this phrase is what would the other side think - i say the person on the receiving end of this phrase.

Definitely yours would want to see the person on the other side of the fence but for the other side to feel back the same way to you its a big mystery...
Is it important that you feel this way but doesn't care what the other side say?

Let me put it this way, do we possibly care what people think about us that we make it a point to say what ever we want as long as we want it to be...

Case in point: you cannot justify aloneness into being lonely...it's out of the question.

The person is not being alone, the person i guess just remembers you...

JoeBensyo latest book find...

Pero the book was published 4-5 years ago....tagal na pala

"11 minutes was the title of the book from paulo coelho that i just finished yesterday. i read it for 3 days.... i like the book, sensual love story but full of mysticism...kase nga coelho, hehehe. I recommend it for you to read, maganda, he used light hearted words and a little bit of history about sex...."

To add more into it: the book parlayed a lot how almost if not all of us wants a happy ending, were scum for happy ending...kait addict matutuwa sa librong ito, you will fly to heaven pag nabasa mu ito

Love song....cge kanta...

High prices of commodity, inflation at recession

According to JoeBenski our resident nagpapanggap na "economist" it is inevitable that we will experience the three above...

Higher prices of commodity: look elsewhere lahat tayu apektado except si pera, if we have so many currencies in the market what a way to curb it is to increase prices of basic goods namely beer, chicharon, corknek, sig-sig, et al...

11% in June 2008 (philippines) Inflation: eto medyo madali lang intindiin....if you have 1 pesos last year na pwide mo ibili ng boy bawang, ngayon 1.11 na ang presyo ng boy bawang mo.

Books na pwide basain by JoeBensyo

I sent this letter to a friend awhile back recommending books to read

I am re-printing it for the sake of encouraging you guys to read it as well

"Last 24th of December 2007, I visited this bookstore in satwa called book world. they have lots of 2nd hand books to sell, good thing about this store is after buying and reading the book you can return it and they'll pay you half the price...hehehe..geez that really is value for our money...i browsed the bookstore, they have wide range of books from management to comics, so all are there at discounted prices...cool di ba.
i saw this ayn rand book about atlas shrugged, i haven't bought it because its a thick book, i guess you squeeze it and can divide into three more books...thats how thick it is by my standard...and mind you its just paper bound, not the hard bound type...
so this is your fav book, i've looked that up on wikipedia and undestood na all her books are quite "philosophical" learnings...malalaim pala nilalaman niya...but i like the concept on atlas shrugged, even if it is written half a century ago i can still relate the story to everyday lives especially on man's existence

Here naman is my all time top 5 fav (in the meantime na wala pa ako bago...)

  1. God father - mario puzzo
  2. Message in the bottle - nicholas spark
  3. Bob ong books - name it, like it all...
  4. Alchemist - paulo coelho
  5. Like a flowing river - paulo coelho
Happy readings!!! "

That's how I ended my mail....
